Electronic Arts Intermix

While I was at The NY Art Book Fair I went downstairs to MoMa PS1’s basement vault to view 40 Artists/40 Works/40 Years presented by Electronic Arts Intermix (EAI).

“…40 Artists/40 Works/40 Years begins with iconic early works by artists such as Joan Jonas, John Baldessari, the Vasulkas and Charlotte Moorman and concludes in the 2000s with pieces by artists including Cory Arcangel, Shana Moulton, Seth Price, and Takeshi Murata: a time-lapse portrait of moving-image art evolving across four decades…” [more]

I had honestly never heard of EAI before and after checking out their website I was thrilled to see so many great services and resources. I was also impressed with myself for recognizing so many of the artists’ names. I’m slowly learning! To think a year ago I wouldn’t have been able to name a single film/video artist. Progress!
