crafty weekend

December 18, 2010

Two crafty weekend posts in one day! Lucky you!

Actually, I wanted to share a necklace I made last night with some left-over beads from a bracelet I designed a few years ago. I have no idea what these white stones are called. I do know I bought them during one of my trips up to Toronto from the fabulous shop The Beadery.

I used a single strand of hemp and tied square knots to separate the beads. My friend Rachelle hooked me up with the clasp. Ha! “Hooked me up” – sometimes I crack myself up. Anyways…. It’s a simple necklace and I’m happy with how it turned out. The beads kind of make me think of Wilma Flintstone. Right?

I’ll take some nicer photos when I’m not lounging around in my pajamas! Ha!

Also, yesterday I was cleaning off my desk and found some scraps of paper from my book. Naturally I made a garland.
