MVWL – Chiharu Shiota

December 17, 2010

Happy Friday!! Here is my biweekly addition to my viewing “wish list”. Enjoy!!

Chiharu Shiota: Every MVWL post has been about works of art I would sell my soul to see in person. Installations NEED to be seen in person. Especially this one by Chiharu Shiota. I love the tension the black “webs” create in juxtaposition with the empty bed. Be sure to check out Shiota’s website to see more work!

Have you seen any of Shiota’s work in person? What did you think?

my viewing “wish list” is a bi-weekly post where I share artists’ work I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see in person! Staring at a computer screen is just not the same.

NOTE: All of the images above are from the sourced websites. If any artists or galleries would like the images removed please do not hesitate to contact me directly (megan@megancharland.com) and I will remove them ASAP. Images are for educational use. Thank you.
