crafty weekend

I am trying out this new post, crafty weekend, as a weekly post. I’m starting a new position on Monday at work and I’m excited to report that I will have weekends off!! So, with my new found freedom, I would like to spend time crafting for FUN. Between work and school my week is always crazy and having my weekends to myself is really exciting.

The weekend is here!! The weekend is here!! Here is my weekly round-up of fun crafty ideas. Enjoy!!

Design*Sponge: An endless supply of inspiration, Design*Sponge, posted a great DIY project this past Wednesday: Halligan’s Alchemy Bookends. Pretty! I am going to make a pair of these beauties when I travel home to my mother’s home in the ADKs for Thanksgiving in a few weeks. Endless supply of rocks in the ADKs!!

A Beautiful Mess: Wednesday was a great day for crafty ideas! Rachel, from Smile And Wave, was a guest blogger over on A Beautiful Mess where she shared a cute tutorial: Tricks + Treats: Rachel’s Acorn Garland. Now, I love Fall, it’s my very favorite season! So, needless to say, I will be making myself some of these acorn garlands and having them adorn my studio for the next couple of months!

Poppytalk: I have always wanted to learn how to screenprint. Again, this past Wednesday (weird), April from Little Korboose shared a nice screenprinting tutorial over on Poppytalk.
