my viewing “wish list”

Wow! Is it really Monday already? Here is my weekly “wish list.” Enjoy!

1. Amanda Ross-Ho: I don’t know what it is, but recently I am much more interested with what is NOT there then what is. It looks like Ross-Ho’s website is coming soon, but be sure to check out more of her work here.

“Negative Carrier #5 (Sensitizers)”
Canvas drop cloth, canvas remnants, aluminum thumbtacks, acrylic paint,
vintage goldtone brooches, graphite, gold plated necklace, ballpoint pen

2. Amy Sillman: I LOVE the colors and angles in Sillman’s work, especially this painting. I’m always a sucker for blue. Actually, this piece would look mighty fine on my wall! Make sure to check out more of her work here.

Oil on canvas

3. Edgar Degas: I know, I know, this seems like it is coming out of nowhere what with all of the other work I have posted thus far being pretty contemporary, but I am in the middle of reading The Delirious Museum, again, which brought my attention to this etching by Degas. I want to take part in the act of “looking.”

“Mary Cassatt at the Louvre: The Etruscan Gallery”
Softground etching, drypoint, aquatint, and etching, third state of nine
Sheet: 17″x12″

Well, that’s it for today! Have you seen any of the work above in person? What did you think?

my viewing “wish list” is a weekly post where I share artists’ work I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see in person! Staring at a computer screen is just not the same.

NOTE: All of the images above were screenshots from the sourced websites. If any artists or galleries would like the images removed please do not hesitate to contact me directly ( and I will remove them ASAP. Images are for educational use. Thank you.
